Rory Donaldson is a Scottish born
artist living and working in New York; he was educated at the Grays school of art in Aberdeen Scotland from 1982-86 where he received a BA with honours. From 1986-87 he studied at the University of Ulster in Belfast and from 1997-1998 at the Whitney Museum of Independent Study Program in New York. He has also received numerous awards and commissions for his work.

The works by Rory Donaldson consist of a variety of different pieces, that span a range between sculpture, installation and wall based work. The chosen medium also reflects this diversity, embroidery, found postcards, drawings and hand painted curtains.
